10 Planting Event at Riverton Park December 10, 11:30am-1:30pm @ Riverton Park Join local neighbor and forest Steward Debbie for an afternoon impacting the environment. Invasive English ivy and Himalayan blackberry threaten Riverton Park's large trees, which are essential habitats for large raptors and wildlife. We aim to reestablish a healthy urban forest to border the community park. This exemplifies how Tukwila can support urban wildlife within the park’s systems. All tools, materials and training will be provided at the start of the work party. Restrooms are onsite May-October otherwise, you may use the restroom at the Tukwila Community Center quick drive down the street. more
