Duwamish Hill Preserve - October Forterra Friday10/16/2026
Activities
Fall into restoration with us! We’re excited to invite you to volunteer at Duwamish Hill Preserve, a vibrant Tukwila park that provides critical wildlife habitat and walking trails in the heart of an industrial corridor.
Native plants don’t just look good, they do good. They support wildlife, improve air and water quality, and help create more resilient ecosystems in our urban environments.
We’ll kick things off with a walk through the preserve and have restoration professionals on hand to share their knowledge and answer your questions about native plants, the Green Tukwila Partnership, and Forterra’s long-term stewardship of this special place.
We’ll be clearing blackberries to protect the native trees and groundcovers that have already been planted by volunteers like you. The Preserve now features a Cultural Garden, an outdoor classroom, an enhanced trail system, and ongoing restoration areas—your efforts will help ensure this space thrives for generations to come.
