Tukwila Community Center - Walk & Talk, Litter …06/26/2025

Activities
Let's take an educational walk next to the Duwamish River and clean up litter! We will start at the Tukwila Community Center, cross the bridge, and then loop through Allentown. The river needs our help. Litter and plastics are blowing into the river and heading out to Puget Sound, but we can stop them by cleaning up the river banks in Tukwila. Green Tukwila Staff can answer questions and educate on native plants, wildlife, and fun facts about the Duwamish River.
The walk is categorized as easy and the trail is paved. Restrooms at the Tukwila Community Center.
All ages OK
4 out of 10 participants registered.
What to Bring
Dress for the weather, some parts of the trail are in full sun so a hat and/or sunglasses can be really helpful. Wear good walking shoes and bring a water bottle and gloves (if you want gloves). We recommend a backpack; you will be using both hands for clean up.
Green Tukwila will provide bags and grabbers, so you do not need to touch litter.
Where to Meet
In the lobby of the Tukwila Community Center.
Where to Park
Parking lot- lots of parking.
