Bicentennial Park - Riverside Restoration with REI08/13/2025

Activities
Join REI and local Steward Chris for a morning of Riverside Restoration just off the Green River Trail. Himalayan Blackberry and Bindweed are aggressively taking over choking out young native trees and understory plants. Volunteers are clearing these invasives to allow the forest to grow and shade the river for wildlife.
All identities are welcome, tools and training provided onsite
All ages OK

What to Bring
This site has no Tree Canopy, so a big, brimmed hat is great for sun or rain. Dress for the weather, wear closed-toed shoes and cover your legs and arms; blackberry is very scratchy. Bring a full water bottle and tough gardening gloves. No gloves, no worries we can provide gloves.
Where to Meet
Head out on the trail and walk south under the strander bridge, you will see the crews on the left and the tool trailer on the right.
