Riverton Park - Restoration at Riverton Park01/14/2025

Activities

Join local neighbor and forest steward Debbie for an afternoon of impacting the environment by planting young native understory plants.

Riverton Park’s large trees are threatened by invasive English ivy and Himalayan blackberry. These large trees are essential habitats for large raptors and wildlife. We aim to reestablish a healthy urban forest to border the community park. This exemplifies how Tukwila can support urban wildlife within the park’s systems.
